Recent Blackout Highlights Nation’s Rickety Power Grid

Recent Blackout Highlights Nation’s Rickety Power Grid

Experts say the cascading blackout that put millions of Westerners in the dark last week was no surprise: Major power outages have more than doubled in the last decade. . . . The grid's shortcomings have been well-documented, but efforts to modernize it haven't kept up with demand. Many electrical transmission lines are outdated, and parts of the grid date back to the time of Thomas Edison.

On Indian Burial Ground in Horror

Has there ever been a horror story where the haunted house is built on Indian Burial Ground so the residents research which native group was buried there and then contact a person from the relevant group for help and then after they get the help they agree to help out the group from then on and everyone cooperates and shit is awesome?

Because it seems to me that'd be the best way to go about things. Though I suppose there would have to be alterations depending on which group it was and how things had to go. IDK whether people would be cool with "Yeah, the cemetery's in the basement, go ahead in, don't mind us!" And it'd suck if the solution was like, "Tear down house, cede entire property to Xgroup, have no more place to live." Albeit probably less so than "Constantly live in terror of violent apparitions."
